Today's new normal has been characterised by social distancing, quarantine measures and stay at home orders due to the rapid spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). In early March the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the outbreak a global pandemic.
As we continue to navigate our professional lives and care for loved ones in this new normal of what remains an uncertain future remember to maintain a sense of community and socialisation. Engaging in online webinars, virtual yoga or exercise activities can bring about a sense of normalcy. Creativity is our friend. Host a virtual happy hour between friends, join a book club online or engage in mental health discussions. We are not without options. We can explore new activities and ways of being that we otherwise wouldn't.
One of my favourite activities is ocean wildlife viewing. Tourism like many other industries has come to a halt. Many of us are not able to engage in outdoor activities, make a visit to our favourite aquarium or wildlife viewing hotspot. We encourage you to discover live streams of ocean wildlife and nature for enjoyment with the family, mediation and reflection purposes.
Here is a list of live marine and nature wildlife streams to boost our spirits:
